My name is Eric Berg and I work as Lead IT-Architect in the Azure Team of COMPAREX in Germany. Also I am a Microsoft MVP for Cloud and Datacenter Management.

Right now I am focussing on Azure and Datacenter Infrastructure and Management. In the past I have done a lot in Client Management area too.

Since 2016 I am the organizer of the Azure Thüringen Meetup, where we talk about Azure related stuff from infrastructure to development.

I am active speaker on national and international conferences and user groups like, Azure Meetups, System Center User Groups, Cloud and Datacenter User Group, Technical Summit, IT-Camps, Microsoft Ignite, ExpertsLive, Cloud and Datacenter Conference, …

Also I am running a podcast and a webcast series together with one of my fellow MVPs called GeekSprech and GeekSchau.

As a Consultant it was my day to day business to present solutions to the customer. With my growing engagement in the community there were more opportunities to be chosen as a speaker. Over time I was invited to participate in several Call for Speakers and this was my starting point for international speaking engagements.

My first speaking opportunity at Microsoft Ignite was insane. There was a room fitting for 600 people and me standing on stage…prepared but nervous… speaking in front of such an audience….in englisch as a non-native speaker – The result was overwhelming… great feedback, questions and evaluations.

Now I am here to help others to reach the same point and feel this overwhelming feeling after a speech. I would like to share my experiences, help to prepare good stories for your presentations and see you make your own experiences.

My name is Bjoern Peters and I love SQL Server and Azure SQL Databases and to speak about it 😉

I’m in MSSQL databases since version 6.5 (which was in 2000), since 2011 I’m a member of SQL PASS and held my first talk about SQL Server in 2015. Here in Germany, I’m active as volunteer and speaker at several data platform events like SQL Saturday or SQLGrillen.

Since October 2016 I’m also the organizer of the Azure Meetup Hamburg, where we talk about all topics of Azure on a monthly base.

Before my first public session, I was really afraid but right after it… I’ll never stop it anymore it is so much fun to share knowledge with the audience! And now I want to help others to step ahead and make their own experience.

Looking forward to helping you prepare your presentation and speak for a session at any event you would like to.

OMrPaulAndrewnce upon a time there was a junior developer. This developer was passionate about what he did and wanted to share all his knowledge with anyone willing to listen. Ambition was a key motivator, combined with a small amount of competitiveness and a burning desire to know everything he had big plans to become a subject matter expert in his field.

Through our incredible data platform community these goals can be achieved. The community can facilitate your growth and open doors to every corner of this vast IT industry. But be warned, this takes commitment, bucket loads of effort and (let’s be realistic) a reasonable amount of personal time sacrificed. However, you will get out what you put in.

If these things ring true with you and you wish to grow yourself through our community please reach out, I’d be happy to help.

I was that junior developer about 20 years ago and what was true then is still true now. But maybe slightly more refined. The community has supported my career growth in ways I never expected, through blogging, helping, speaking and organising events.

I’m now a Senior Data Analytics Consultant at Adatis (a London based business intelligence consultancy) and Microsoft Data Platform MVP. I currently specialise in architecting big data solutions with Microsoft Azure services and delivering intelligent insights for my customers business.

I look forward to hearing from you and starting your data journey in our community.

I’m an 18-year vet of SQL Server currently living in Kentucky. I started off as a developer who turned into an accidental DBA as most of us do. I started working with SQL Server full time back in 2000. Most of my speaking originally centered around Juvenile Diabetes which I’m an advocate for. Over time I felt as though I could start helping others in my own industry. After becoming an Assistant Vice President|Database Administration Manager I found myself with speaking opportunities that I never thought I would have. If you’ve been around me long enough then you will know I’m big on if we just reach one person than it is all worth it.

The art of public speaking can be both daunting and rewarding. I’m living proof that if you put hard work into it you will be able to succeed. Everyone has some sort of story to share; don’t wait another minute.

The people found on this site are here to help and some of the best data professionals around.
